World Can't Wait, OHIO

World Can't Wait is organizing people living in the United States to take responsibility to stop the whole disastrous course led by the Bush administration. We seek to create a political situation where the Bush administration's program is repudiated, where Bush himself is driven from office, and where the whole direction he has been taking U.S. society is reversed.

Cleveland organizing meeting for October 5
Sunday, October 1
1 pm
C-Space, corner of W. 44th & Clark Ave

What will it take to make October 5 a turning point in history?

This is the final week before Oct 5, a day of mass resistance to the Bush regime.
There are now over 80 cities around the country that will be partof this movement!
See an article on World Can't Wait Cleveland in the Free Times.

The organizing meeting on Sunday will be exactly that...to ORGANIZE for the last days until Oct 5, what the day itself will look like, and what you can do to make this happen! We will have lots of lots of organizing materials that you can take with you--fliers, stickers, posters, banners, and more.

*What schools are planning walkouts? Can you organize at your school fora walkout?
*Who wants to get up Oct 5 banners over freeways all over northeast Ohio?
*Who can take stacks of fliers to colleges, high schools, movies, on buses, trains, barbershops, laundromats, and more?
*Who can send out announcements to all their friends and associates in these last days and get them to the protest? Who wants to do phonebanking, to activate all the people we've met in the last few months?
*Who can help wake people up to the sights and sounds of October 5th? Banner drops, giant public art, poster lines along commute lanes, flyering busses and trains, radio news, soundtrucks, building the heart and determination to make this truly a day of mass political resistance.
*Who wants to organize a car caravan from their suburb or town to the rally downtown on the 5th? Get your friends, people from school, workplace, congregation or neighborhood to meet at a pre-determined time andspot, decorate your cars, and be a traveling advertisement.
*Who can organize a 'specialty' contingent (ie: librarians or a school or club) to march to the rally site together, with their own banners, signs and chants? Or getting people to line E. 9th with signs and noisemakers? Or during the rally to organize others to go out into communities calling on people to 'join us,' bringing back more people for the 4 pm March?
*Who can help set up the rally site and help with set up, transport, and clean up?
